KIRSTY Capes

Kirsty Capes works in marketing and lives in Slough with her golden retriever, Doug. She holds a PhD from Brunel University London; her thesis investigates representations of the care experience in contemporary British fiction. Her debut novel Careless was published to much fanfare in 2021, and was longlisted for both the Women’s Prize for Fiction and the RSL Ondaatje Prize. It was followed by the novel Love Me Love Me Not, and her most recent work Girls, which received widespread acclaim in 2024.
